Who we are

Cape Kulcha Community is a youth-led non-profit organisation based in Langa, Cape Town, South Africa. For any privacy-related request you can reach us at info@capekulchatours.co.za.

What we collect

We only collect the information you choose to give us, together with a small amount of technical data needed to run the website:

• Form submissions — your name, email address, phone number and any message or booking details you send through our contact, volunteer or tour-booking forms.
• Cookies — a single cookie that remembers your cookie-consent choice, plus analytics cookies that are only set if you accept them.
• Analytics data — anonymous, aggregated information about how visitors use the site (only where you have given consent).

Why we collect it

We use this information solely to respond to your enquiries and booking requests, to arrange volunteering and tours, and to understand and improve how the website is used. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it except with the service providers described below.

Cookies

When you first visit, a banner lets you choose Essential only or Accept all. Essential cookies (such as the one storing this very choice) are always active because the site cannot function without them. Analytics or other optional cookies are loaded only after you select Accept all, and you can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser cookies.

Third-party services

• Google reCAPTCHA — protects our forms from spam and abuse. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
• Analytics — where enabled and consented to, aggregated usage statistics are processed by our analytics provider under their own privacy policy.

Data retention and your rights

We keep form submissions only for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and our related records, after which they are deleted. Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) in South Africa, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for visitors in the EU, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, and to request its deletion.
